I've finally finished my junior year of high school! Yes! Just one more year to go, then I have to suffer through four more years, at least, of college. W00T!

So, I went to see the new Star Trek movie about a week and a half ago and all I can say is, "OMG! THAT'S F****** AMAZING SHIT RIGHT THERE!" Actually, I was pretty much speechless when I left the theater. I've never been a Star Trek fan. I've never seen the movies or shows, so I wasn't going to see this one, either. Then I heard all the positive reviews and decided, what the hell. I think I've been totally converted to liking sci-fi. Star Wars never counted, since that's more of a fantasy that's in space.

Speaking of Star Wars, I've totally been into reading Star Wars fanfiction lately. Which means I've had no interest on working on my Zelda stories. My interest in Star Wars was waning about a year ago, then again six months ago, then came this amazing triology that is some of the best writing I've ever read. Seriously. The first story is --> www.fanfiction.net/s/4302076/1/Into_the_Storm and it is just amazing. Any Star Wars fan should read it. I have never obsessed about a fanfic before and this one has just blown my mind. I think I like it almost more than the actual triology. Scary, ain't it? But also very impressive.

Summer vacation is half over for me. And have I been lazy... I have fanfiction I need to work on! >.< But right now, I'm not motivated. Blah!

Anywho, in June, I vacationed in Disney World, again. This may be hard to believe, but I don't live in Florida. I had to deal with all the rain this summer. But, as I was saying, Disney was fun, as usual. Got to celebrate my sixteenth birthday there. It was also my first time at Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios. Oh man, was that fun! And it got me into a Star Wars craze... Well, I'm going again in December. Maybe I should start another blog and turn it into a Disney World blog. XD With as much as I go, it would make sense.

Pretty soon I'll be going to band camp and I'll lose my life till October. Ah well. It's fun. But I really gotta start working on my stories. XO

One last thing. I did this fun little personality test and I'm INTP, the Engineer. It's so freaky how accurate the description was to me.

"INTPs are logical, individualistic, reserved, and very curious individuals. They focus on ideas, theories and the explanation of how things work. They are especially adept at discussions and debate. They have the ability to focus intently on a subject. They appreciate and respect intelligence in others."

And that's just the basic description. The full thing described my little quirks better than any other personality test I've take. The full page is here --> http://www.mypersonality.info/personality-types/intp/  Now, it's not 100% accurate, but pretty damn close! Like I said, freaky. o.O
18th-Nov-2007 01:06 am - Rant Time!
horses
Okay, it's one in the morning and I'm not tired. I feel like ranting about something that's always ticked me off- controversy of video games. By that, I mean violence and the stupid stereotypes that are associated with video gamers.

First off, violence. I can see where people would get that idea, but come on! Just because some school shooters liked shooter games doesn't mean games are what caused them to go on a murdering rampage. They had problems way before that. Most people who play these violent video games don't even think about going out shooting people. Why? Because they get one little important fact - VIDEO GAMES AIN'T REAL!!! But what about the children, you ask? They shouldn't be exposed to these violent acts! No shit, genius. That's what the ratings are for. If a game has a M or AO in black letters in a white box, it's there for a reason! It means, "This game has adult material in it. Children should not play." Should all children be banned from these? NO! If a child understands this is not what real life is about (about the preteen to teenage period), then they probably could handle the game. Hell, I was playing shooting games when I was eight. I don't feel the urge to kill my peers. Most of them probably think of me as a goody-two-shoes pacifist or something.

Plus, there are a lot more violent video games than GTA or Mortal Kombat. Examples? Uh, one of my favorites and classic, Legend of Zelda. But it's Nintendo! How can that be?! Uh, you have a freakin' sword and cut things in two, you just barge into peoples home and break pottery, attack chickens if you like, deal with some serious storylines, and even sneak around, trying not to be caught. Uh, yeah, just because these games don't have blood and have a squeky clean reputation doesn't make them non-violent. They just make it less obvious than GTA, especially since you rarely attack human characters. But still, most video games have violence.

Okay, now I'm tired. That helped me cool off a bit, cause it's been bothering me.
14th-Nov-2007 07:06 pm - Late Introduction
horses
Oh, wow, I've been on here since, like, June, and I haven't done anything to introduce myself! Guess I'll do it know. Better late than never, right?

Well, to start off, I'm Blazestarre, as you might have guessed. I've been using that name for the past three/ four years or so. If you see that name on another sight, it's probably me. If not, someone's STEALING MY IDENTITY! Or not. But most likely it's me. I am a girl, and a bit of a tomboy, if you can't tell by my interests. Random fact here- I look pure white, but I'm really a mix of heritages. I just find it funny that I look purely British Isles, yet be part Chinese. It's sorta weird, really.

I love to write, as that is why I originally made this journal. It was for the people at Fanfiction.net to learn more about my stories and such. But it's turning more into a normal blog now, it seems. Ironically, even though I love to write, my spelling sucks. I constantly use spell check and dictionaries. My other interests are in my profile. So, go there if you want to know.

I'm pretty tolerant of people. I really don't care about race, sexual preferences, IQ, nationality, etc. If you're nice, I'll like you. However, I can't tolerate the following: racism, sexism, anti-whatever, fanboy-ism, bashers (as in seriously bashing something, not the joking kind), being close-minded, and people who take things way too seriously. I'm completely fine with jokes (I made a point of this on FF.net, jokes aren't meant to be serious. Learn to laugh at yourself!). Another thing not to do if you don't want me on a rant rampage is don't bring up Global Warming or l33t. l33t I just hate because it's hard to read. Don't use it, at all.

I'm sarcastic. I have a problem. I use it too much, probably, but I can't help it. So, if you don't know if I was being intentionally mean, I was being sarcastic. Doesn't mean I don't like you. I just like to use it.

If you ever just want to talk to me, just send me an e-mail. I love talking!!! If you couldn't tell by this post... You can friend me, just contact me somehow first, like leave a comment or through e-mail or review one of my stories. I don't bite! Just burn a bit... not really.
23rd-Oct-2007 10:47 pm - Computer's Who Hate You Suck
horses
It's true! My computer so hates me right now. It's going uber slow right now, and the sound's all messed up. I was checking my mail at AOL and that guy who says "You got mail" sounded so freaky. This is what it sounded like---> YoOoOoOoU gOoOoOoOT mAaAaAIiIil!  'twas freaky. Although, it's interesting it did this right before Halloween. Too bad it couldn't be on the holiday...

Speaking of Halloween, I still need a costume! I have no idea what to be... >.> I'm just going to go to the costume shop, but I'll be there like an hour. I don't even know what I'm gonna do on Halloween. That's just kinda sad. I always know what I'll be doing on holidays!!!! Grrrr, so frustrating. >:(

20th-Oct-2007 11:59 pm - I Hate High School
horses
Okay, saying I hate high school is being over dramatic, but it's still frustrating. I've been super busy with homework and marching band. Luckily, marching band's over and I can catch up on schoolwork, cause I feel behind a bit. >.>  But, I really do like to march, so it does make me sad that it's over. Now I just have to survive concert band then begin marching again. Yay!

Yeah, that whole thing is my excuse for not updating Farmboy. I'm working on it, really, I am. Just very slowly. I'm also having trouble writing it, too, so that doesn't help. If it makes you feel any better, I have future chapters already planned!

On another note, I now have Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. I must say, I enjoy Firefox much better because it just works faster on sites. I don't know why, it just does. Then again, when it comes to anything with programming, html, etc., I'm pretty blonde about it, I guess.
18th-Aug-2007 08:38 pm - High School Musical 2
horses

Wow, I haven't posted for awhile. I probably should have, but I' ve been feeling lazy, then I had band camp, which wares me out. But now I feel like posting. First, I'd like to talk about the new Dcom, High School Musical 2. Yes, I'm a Disney geek. :P

This movie, I think, surpassed the original. Probably because they knew people were expecting something good. The last movie's success was kinda a fluke. This movie feels more like a musical than the last one. There's more songs and better dancing. The better acting doesn't hurt, either. I really like all but one song better than the original. Sharpay's song, Fabulous, was just annoying. I really didn't get the point of it. The song Bet on It was good, but the scene when Troy sings it is just weird. The humor was much better than the first one, but the story has much more drama. The message is pretty good. The future will come soon enough, but the present is more important is the gist of it. Sharpay got what she deserved right before the talent show. And Ryan really showed that he's no Sharpay's lackey, so that was good. And Troy and Gabriella got their kiss! Yay! Overall, this movie was awesome.

Now that that's done, onto talking about my stories. Now, I have updated Thousand Year Hero. Chapter three is when the plot really starts, though you'll still be in the dark for awhile. I still can't say much about what'll happen, because then it'll spoiler the plot. I'm pretty excited about it, though. Right now, I'm working on chapter three of Farmboy. I'm working on these two fics at the same time, but I'm switching updates. First Farmboy, then Thousand Year Hero, then Farmboy, and so on. My other two stories are on hold, cuz Epona's Ocarina just sucks compared to my recent stories and Bermuda Triangle I just ramble too much. So, once I finished one of my stories, or I get really far and comfortable, which ever comes first, is when I'll work on my other two. I'm also working on some original fiction, which I'll probably post on Deviantart.

I'd also liked to thank everyone for their support on Farmboy. Currently, after two chapters, I have twelve reviews, three favorites, nine alerts, on two C2s, and recieved 290+ hits. Thank you all!

9th-Jul-2007 09:54 pm - Farmboy...uh...hehe
horses

Oooooooh, I'm in Disney World and posting! I love laptops... But Florida in July...ugh...hot and humid. I'm staying in the hotel room until I cool down. But I didn't want to post just to ramble about my vacation.

So, if you've been on Fanfiction.net lately and went to the Zelda section or my profile, then you'd know I have a new story. Which probably isn't the best idea for me, cuz I have three stories already, but this one was bugging me for awhile. It is...get ready for it...FARMBOY! You're asking, "Farmboy? What kind of gay name is that?" Yes, I know, it was the only thing I could come up with. It's better than Life in Ordon...

So, Farmboy is, yet again, a Zelda fic. Yes, I need more variety, which I'll get to once I finish two of those stories. This new story is pre Twilight Princess. There's all these postTP and TP novels and parodies and so on. Twilight Princess has a backstory with great potential, yet NOT A SINGLE FRIGGIN' ONE HAS BEEN MADE! So, I was in the shower, came up with a few little short stories as I washed my hair, and said to myself, "I'm gonna write a story!" So, I wrote the first chapter and put it up, and judging by the number of hits I've gotten, it's a bit more popular than my other stories were when I first put them up. Yes, even Epona's Ocarina. So, apparently, I'm not the only one who was waiting for this type of story to pop up.

So, I guess I should put up my characters and such. So, STOP READING IF YOU HAVEN'T READ WHAT I'VE PUT UP AND GO READ THAT THEN COME BACK! Thank you!

Amena- This is Link's mother. She's the type of person who's nice to everyone and is hard to anger, but when she does get angry, watch out! She has long, dark blonde hair. Think TP Link's hair color, since she's his mother and all... also the same eye color. But, instead of saying they look like a beast's eyes, people see them as gentle and kind eyes. She grew up in the country, so she's used to farm life, and she married a city man. Amena is also the granddaughter of Link and Malon from OoT. She thinks highly of her grandfather and her favorite story of his is about the "Hero of Time," which is really about her grandfather, but she doesn't know that. Since I take great care with coming up with names, I tend to look names up for their meanings and creat a new name based on the one I choose. I didn't do that this time. Amena is a Celtic name and means "honest woman."

Brion- This is Link's father. He is also kind, but as a much quicker temper than his wife. But he cools down a lot quicker than Amena. He's a hardworker, but, unlike his wife, is having a hard time adjusting to country life due to the fact he lived in the city his entire life. He's friends with Rusl and by knowing him, Brion knew of Ordon. He still has family in the city, but they aren't big fans of Amena, so he lost contact with them. His hair is slightly untamed and long, but not wild. It's brown and his eyes are also mud color. Brion is also a Celtic name and means brave and virtuouse.

Shannon- This is Ilia's mother and wife of Mayor Bo. She, again, is kind. Amena and Brion confuse her and the rest of the villagers of Ordon. She does gain a good friendship with Amena due to the fact both have young kids about the same age. She's also nearly ten years older than the couple. She has blonde hair and green eyes, something Ilia takes after. She has never left Ordon or the surrounding forest in her life. Shannon is a Celtic name and means wise one.

Now, if you've played Twilight Princess, you'll realize that I have to kill these guys off. I just have to figure out the details. He he... I'm so organized... *sarcasm*

24th-Jun-2007 10:07 am - Update in the near future
horses

If you have been reading my fanfic "Thousand Year Hero," then you'll be pleased to know that I'm almost done writing the next chapter! However, this chapter has been kinda difficult to write, so it won't be the best. I have no idea why it's been so hard. I guess it's because it's more of a transition chapter from fluff to the main plot. And I'm sorry that it took so long to do. I have less than a third left to write, soooooo... yeah.

To those of you who haven't read it, it's a Zelda fic that takes place in a modern age, about a thousand years after the Oracle games. I won't give away anything, so if your interested, just go to my profile at fanfiction.net. As I've talked to no one on here, then you probably came from that profile, soooooo, yeah.

On another note, I'm now a beta reader at Legends and Adventures, a Zelda fan site. So, I'm really happy about that. I hope to improve my writing (especially after rereading my other two fics...*shudder*) and hope to read some interesting fics as well.

I guess I'll tell you how I plan out my fics, since I have nothing better to do right now. First, I come up with an idea. It can come on a whim or me spending an hour in the shower thinking. Then I write down my main character or characters, depending on the story. I then think about the important scenes that'll happen within the story (such as a death, kidnapping, major battle, meeting a chracter, a betrayel, that kind of thing) and I think about the ending. So I'll always know what'll happen in the end and how it'll go about. I proceed to write the first chapter (or the prologue, if I want to put one in) and I just go on from there.

So, my chapters are not planned out. Besides my main character and villain, I just come up with characters on a whim. But don't think I don't figure out what to do with them. Remeber when I said I spent an hour in the shower thinking? Well, that's my best thinking spot, so I also come up with characters and the events imbetween the important scenes. Yeah, not the best idea. I know I should plan everything out. Helps avoid plot holes and mary-sues. But I'm lazy and hate planning things out. Sooooooo, now you know why my updates are so random. Ain't I so orgainized? *sarcasm*

23rd-Jun-2007 02:18 pm - Joined the fad, finally
horses
I was really against ever getting a live journal, or any kind of blog. But here I am, with a livejournal and a myspace. But I have good reasons for going against my vow, you could say. Myspace was just so I could talk to my friends without having to use a phone. I don't like them too much. But myspace isn't important right now. I decided to make this so I could write about my fanfics on fanfiction.net.

Originally, I had a website for my stories, both of the fanfic variety and the original variety, but it's kinda hard to update it when it's on geocities and geocities is banned from your computer. So, I had two options. One, start a blog or two, write really looooooooong author's notes. The problem with author's notes, they annoy the people who don't want to read them. And add to the word count of the story, which is nice but I want to know what the actual word count is. So, I thought, livejournal it is!

So, how am I going to do that? Well, I'm not too sure myself. I don't plan to have every journal entry about my stories. But the majority will be. I'll definatly put up a new entry each time I update a story, telling about that chapter, the troubles I had writing, etc. Probably put up some entries with character profiles, explain why I'm not updating, rant and rave about things in my life and the world, review books and movies, etc. Sooooooo, yeah. I guess that's it for now.
